Thank you for your interest in the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation (DNRC) records.
A Public Information Request (PIR) includes, but is not limited to, written documents and electronic files containing information relating to the conduct or administration of the public's business prepared, owned, used or retained by DNRC. While most agency records are available to the public, certain records may be withheld from disclosure due to individual privacy, safety, security, or confidentiality; the exceptions to public record disclosure are described in Montana Code Annotated (MCA) in Title 2, Chapter 6.
Send a request to the Department of Natural Resources and Conservation for public information or records to dnrc_publicinfo@mt.gov. In your request, be as detailed as possible about which records you are looking for, and provide as much information as you have regarding any topic or site you are seeking information about.
